the Spanish coastline

The coastline of peninsular Spain is classified into the Atlantic coastline and the Mediterranean coastline.
We can divide Atlantic coastline into: Cantabrian coast, Galician Atlantic coast and Andalucian Atlantic coast.
The Mediterranean coastline is divided into Southern Mediterranean Coast and Western Mediterranean Coast.
The coasts of Ceuta and Melilla are bathed by the Mediterranean Sea. The coast of Ceuta is low, but that of Melilla has cliffs. The coast of the Balearic Islands is high with many coves.
The coasts of the Canary Islands are bathed by the Mediterranean Sea and have both sandy beaches and cliffs.
The shapes of the coast depend on the relief of the land, the tides and erosion.
